Who doesn’t love tacos. Whether soft tacos or hard tacos and fillings of ground meat fish or vegetables sometimes a taco is what is needed to hit the spot.  Cincinnati being a foodie town is no stranger to tacos and this post looks at some of the great taco places in and around the Greater Cincinnati area.  Presented in no particular order, be sure to check out the places below when a taco craving comes on.  (All the restaurants on this list offer both meat and vegetarian options)


Nothing goes along better with great tacos than great homemade salsa which Gomez has.  Salsa recipes passed down through family tradition go great on their tacos, nachos, burritos and their unique turtle offering.  We are sure you will agree based on the pictures that the food will be great.  Gomez is located in the Walnut Hills and Over the Rhine neighborhoods of Cincinnati. Meat and vegetarian options are available.

Mazunte Taqueria

Influenced by Mexican street food Mazunte features a wide variety of dishes including plenty of taco options. Be sure to try the fresh salsa and chips available from the salsa bar.  Mazunte is located in Madisonville neighborhood and downtown Cincinnati and offers dine in, take out as well as catering.  

Django Western Taco

Set in the Northside neighborhood of Cincinnati Django Western Taco offers tacos with unique fillings like buttermilk fried chicken, stuffed poblano peppers, Brussel sprout in addition to the traditional steak and pork offerings.  


Condado features a build your own taco checklist where after preparing the checklist hand it off to the server and after a little wait out will come your custom ordered taco.  If you want the easier route to taco heaven, ordering off the preset taco list is the way to go.  They offer quite a variety of taco toppings and fillings to satisfy any taco lover.  


Featuring over 100 tequilas and American whiskeys, tacos are not the only thing to draw one to Bakersfield.  Located near Washington Park in Over the Rhine neighborhood of Cincinnati Bakersfield is close to a lot of what Cincinnati has to offer in and around the downtown area.

Drunken Tacos

The name may seem unique but maybe due to its location near the University in Cincinnati in the Clifton neighborhood Drunken Tacos may be appropriate.  Hungry diners can wash down their great selection of tacos with wide variety of margaritas, cervezas, and/or tequilas.
